- Own the platform's technical architecture direction in partnership with the Data Platform Architect, defining standards for data modelling, semantic layers, ingestion patterns, access controls, and platform security
- Establish and maintain a structured portfolio delivery model including intake, triage, estimation, resource planning, multi-quarter roadmaps, and risk management—balancing immediate demand with long-term platform investment

- Ensure platform data assets are discoverable, well-documented, and structurally sound—with clear lineage, quality thresholds, and metadata cataloguing—so data is trustworthy and ready for analytics, reporting, and AI consumption
- Define and deliver services to analytics and Power BI teams including curated data products, semantic layers, certified datasets, and self-service access patterns with clear onboarding and support models
- Engage senior leaders, operating group BI teams, and Reporting & Analytics CoE stakeholders to understand data needs, surface capability gaps, and shape platform investment priorities
- Build and refine enterprise standards for Power BI usage, semantic modelling, and report governance; provide indirect leadership to BI developers across operating groups
- Lead end-to-end onboarding of new data domains including stakeholder scoping, integration design, data quality baselining, and acceptance criteria
- Partner with the Senior Business Partner, Data Governance to operationalize governance policies—translating stewardship requirements, data classification standards, and compliance obligations into engineering patterns and team practices
- Maintain and continuously improve data quality scoring, observability tooling, and anomaly detection capabilities
- Build and sustain senior-level relationships with Operating Group VPs, Shared Services leaders, and CoE stakeholders; communicate delivery progress and platform value through dashboards, status reporting, and executive narratives
- Participate in enterprise data strategy, AI readiness planning, and data governance forums, contributing the platform's perspective on data maturity and technical feasibility
- Lead, coach, and develop a multi-disciplinary team of data engineers, architects, analytics engineers, and project managers; manage vendor and consulting partner relationships
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems Management, Business Data, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience leading delivery portfolios in data, analytics, or complex technology environments
- Demonstrated experience scaling delivery processes and operating models in a shared services or enterprise IS environment

- Strong understanding of data engineering, BI/reporting, and data product development lifecycles
- Knowledge of governance principles and their operationalization into delivery practices
- Familiarity with AI/ML data readiness concepts—including data quality, lineage, cataloguing, and feature engineering—sufficient to evaluate platform gaps and prepare data assets for AI/ML consumption
- Experience with modern data stack tooling: cloud data platforms (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks), metadata and cataloguing tools (Purview, Collibra, Alation), and data observability frameworks
- Strong communication, facilitation, prioritization, and risk management skills; ability to lead teams through ambiguity and dynamic change
