One last thing: Our four-day work week continues in Summer 2026! As the Senior Manager - Data Analytics, you will steer an analytical engine that drives CARFAX’s global growth. You will lead our competitive intelligence and data protection functions, ensuring that our market advantage is both sharp and secure. This is a high-visibility role where you will transform raw data into a compelling narrative for our executive leadership team.  At CARFAX, we believe in the power of teamwork and value in-person interactions so that we can collaborate and thrive together. This position will require 3 days per week in our Centreville, VA office, subject to change with future business needs.     What you’ll be doing:

  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison for senior leadership, providing frequent, high-level updates on key analytical initiatives and ROI
Leadership:
  • Lead from the Front: Manage and mentor a team of high-performing analysts, acting as a technical 'player-coach' who can dive into complex modeling or architectural hurdles to unblock the team when necessary
  • Talent Development: Build a culture of continuous learning, ensuring the team stays ahead of emerging trends in AI, ML, and predictive analytics
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership: Work alongside Sales & Marketing, Product, and Engineering to identify revenue growth opportunities through deep-dive performance analysis
The CoE:
  • Grow the Center of Excellence: Act as a key member of the Analytics CoE, establishing enterprise-wide standards for KPIs, data lineage, and analytical methodology to ensure a single source of truth across CARFAX
  • Operationalize AI: Help lead the transition from descriptive to predictive analytics. You will "bring AI to life" by deploying models that automate anomaly detection and competitive trend forecasting
  • ROI: Partner with Finance to quantify the ROI of data acquisition and analytical initiatives, ensuring our roadmap is prioritized by business impact and revenue potential
What we’re looking for:
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Preference given to candidates who have navigated the transition to an analytics center of excellence model
  • Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and visualization tools (Tableau/PowerBI). You should be able to review code and challenge methodology
  • The "So What?" Factor: A proven track record of presenting to C-Suite executives and successfully influencing multi-million-dollar business decisions
  • AI Practicality: Proven ability to identify high-impact AI use cases and lead them from concept to production
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Data Science) or equivalent professional experience
