As a Senior Manager, you will:

  • Leading risk-informed change initiatives that strengthen customer protection outcomes, ensuring appropriate governance, controls and fraud risk management are embedded across the business.
  • Providing fraud and scam subject matter expertise to identify emerging threats, influence decision-making, and enhance prevention, detection and response capabilities.
  • Partnering with stakeholders across ANZ to deliver sustainable solutions that reduce fraud and scam risk while balancing customer, regulatory and commercial outcomes.
  • Driving the identification and uplift of fraud, risk and control frameworks, including risk assessments, control effectiveness reviews, governance activities and remediation initiatives.
  • Supporting the effective management of fraud and scam cases, using sound judgement to make risk-based decisions, manage escalations, minimise fraud losses, and address control weaknesses.

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Strong understanding of operational risk, controls, governance, regulatory obligations, and customer protection principles.
  • Proven experience leading and delivering business change initiatives, with the ability to embed sustainable outcomes in complex environments.
  • Deep knowledge of fraud and scam risks, emerging threats, financial crime trends, and prevention strategies, with experience working in fraud, digital security, or closely partnering with fraud teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risk, identify control gaps, support effective decision-making, and deliver practical solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external stakeholders and influence outcomes.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate competing demands, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills. At ANZ a growth mindset is at the heart of our culture, so if you have most of these things in your toolbox, we’d love to hear from you.
