In this role, you'll:
Provide strategic and operational leadership to govern the evolution of the customer and mobility data ecosystem, ensuring production data platforms and enabling services are stable, secure and performing effectively. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day reliability and continuous improvement of data operations, supporting the successful transition of new data solutions into production and maintaining high service standards across a complex data landscape.
You’ll lead the implementation of modern operational practices, embedding and enhancing DevOps and DataOps approaches to strengthen automation, release management and service resilience. This includes overseeing incident response, performance monitoring and operational readiness, while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity, governance and financial requirements across cloud environments.
Leading a team of technical specialists, you’ll work closely with engineering, architecture and analytics teams to ensure data solutions and services operate seamlessly and deliver value to the organisation. Your leadership will play a critical role in maintaining reliable, sustainable, secure and cost-effective data operations that support the ongoing delivery of services across the Transport for NSW environment.

About you
You’re an experienced operations or technology leader with a strong track record managing large-scale data or digital services in complex environments. You bring practical expertise in cloud platforms, operational management and service reliability, along with a strong understanding and experience of DevOps/DataOps, automation and modern operational practices.
You’re confident managing competing priorities and resolving operational issues in environments where system performance and reliability are critical. Your structured and solutions-focused approach enables you to maintain stability while driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
You’re also a supportive and accountable people leader who develops team capability and promotes strong collaboration across technical and business teams. With a focus on reliability, security and performance, you ensure data services are delivered consistently and aligned to organisational priorities.
