
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Corporate Strategy & Planning Cycle
Lead the Strategic Planning Process: Orchestrate the annual and multi-year corporate strategy planning cycles, collaborating with business unit heads to translate high-level corporate vision into actionable strategic plans.
Framework Management: Standardize strategy development templates, cascading corporate objectives (e.g., OKRs, KPIs) down to individual departments.
Strategic Roadmapping: Drive the synthesis of departmental goals into a unified corporate roadmap, ensuring financial and operational resources align with long-term targets.
2. Market Intelligence & Analysis
Competitive & Market Landscape: Conduct rigorous, data-driven research into macro trends, competitor movements, industry disruptions, and regulatory shifts to identify growth opportunities or strategic risks, with potential vendor management to deliver relevant analysis
Data Synthesis: Translate raw market data into high-impact executive briefs and actionable insights, supporting leadership in making proactive, informed business pivots.
M&A Support (as needed): Provide market validation and strategic rationale for potential partnerships, joint ventures, or inorganic growth opportunities.
3. Performance Management & Governance
Establish Accountability Tracking: Build and maintain corporate performance dashboards to track execution against strategic objectives.
Business Reviews and senior leadership meetings: Lead regular business review and senior leadership cadences and processes, tracking variance against targets and proactively identifying business lines requiring intervention.
Course Correction: Work alongside underperforming teams to diagnose root causes and develop strategic recovery plans.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
Executive Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to the C-suite and executive committee, translating complex financial and strategic metrics into clear narratives.
Cross-Functional Orchestration: Facilitate alignment across business verticals and shared service horizontals to break down silos and ensure unified execution of strategic pillars.
Board & Investor Prep: Synthesize operational and market intelligence data into high-caliber presentation materials for Board of Directors and leadership team meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS
Experience: 7 to 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, corporate development, or a dedicated strategic planning role.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Analytical Rigor: Exceptional quantitative skills with a proven track record of translating complex data sets, market intelligence, and financial metrics into clear strategic frameworks.
Process Improvement Expertise: Direct experience leading process reengineering or operational transformation initiatives. Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or similar frameworks are a strong plus.
Communication & Influence: Masterful presentation, communication skills and workshop facilitation, with a demonstrated ability to influence and manage relationships with C-suite executives and cross-functional leaders without direct authority.
OTHER SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Tools: Mastery of advanced data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI), enterprise planning software, and presentation tools (PowerPoint, Keynote) would be an advantage.
