1. Statutory Audit & Assurance • Independently handle statutory audits with Big 4 or comparable audit firms end-to-end – planning, preparing
schedules and reconciliations, resolving queries, and driving timely, clean closure with no major escalations.
• Serve as the primary finance point of contact for auditors; pre-empt audit and governance matters that have a
direct bearing on the financials and ensure the team is audit-ready at all times.
• Coordinate tax, GST and other statutory audits alongside the respective experts and consultants.
2. Financial Reporting & Ind AS Transition • Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements, including multi-period and multi-entity
consolidations. The company currently reports under Indian GAAP (notified Accounting Standards).
• Lead the transition from Accounting Standards (Indian GAAP) to Ind AS – first-time adoption under Ind AS,
GAAP-to-Ind AS difference analysis, restatement of comparatives, and assessment of the impact on financials
and disclosures.
• Apply Ind AS to complex areas – revenue recognition, ESOP accounting, financial instruments, leases, expected
credit loss and related-party disclosures.
• Track changes in accounting standards and assess their impact on the company's financials.
3. Month-End Close & Books • Own a timely and accurate monthly close; support the transition of accounting in-house for real-time closure
after each month-end.
• Prepare and review key reconciliations, accruals and provisions; ensure every projection and output has a
documented, saved input with nothing left ad-hoc.
4. Investor Relations & MIS Reporting
• Handle investor reporting and MIS – prepare periodic investor decks, board and management MIS, and
performance dashboards accurately and on schedule.
• Respond to ad-hoc investor, board and regulatory (e.g. RBI / CoC) requirements – consolidated and standalone
financials, projections and write-ups – within tight turnaround times.
5. Taxation & Statutory Compliance • Manage direct and indirect tax risk end-to-end – related-party transaction (RPT) amendments, MAT exposure,
transfer-pricing documentation and GST structuring – owning the underlying analysis and outcomes while
working with external experts on execution.
• Oversee timely, accurate direct and indirect tax filings (income tax, TDS, GST) and coordinate tax and GST audits
and assessments.
• Coordinate statutory, ROC / Companies Act and secretarial compliances with the company secretary and
consultants; track related-party and regulatory documentation requirements.
6. Treasury & Cash Flow • Support treasury and cash-flow management – fund-flow planning, working-capital tracking and banking
relationships – and maintain accurate visibility of escrow and restricted balances.
7. Internal Controls, Policy & Process • Support the design, roll-out and testing of Internal Financial Controls (IFC / IFCR) and build a structured, audit-
ready control environment.
• Establish and maintain the accounting policy framework, SOPs and delegation-of-authority matrix; keep robust
documentation and process notes to strengthen governance and reduce audit and litigation risk.
• Drive ERP / accounting-system improvements and automation with appropriate system controls to enable
faster, more reliable reporting.
8. Planning & Budgeting • Maintain a working knowledge of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and budgeting cycle; partner with cross
functional teams on projections and budget-versus-actual variance analysis, with well-documented
assumptions.
