The Senior Manager, Continuous Improvement will deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost by coaching plant leadership teams, building internal continuous improvement capability, and accelerating MasterBrand Business Systems maturity across Semi Custom operations. Enable results through disciplined project selection, validated savings, leader coaching at Gemba, and structured hand off to plant ownership. Lead change by developing leaders, strengthening Daily Management systems, and ensuring improvements are sustained after implementation.

This role may be based anywhere within the U.S., with a preference for candidates located in Indiana. Travel up to 75% to various facilities is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Champion the MasterBrand Way Continuous Improvement strategy and provide hands-on support and all necessary training during implementation
  • Lead effort to implement best practices across plants and/or divisions, ensuring adherence to the principles of lean manufacturing
  • Assist and mentor plant management and Continuous Improvement teams with planning and facilitation of strategic plans, kaizen workshops, and other lean activities
  • Establish sustainment mechanisms (leader standard work, audits, metrics) that verify adoption at 60/90/180 days
  • Enable and lead initiatives that contribute to the Semi-Custom business savings target, with finance-validated and sustained results
  • Champion safety through demonstrated commitment, site specific safety plans and targeted MasterBrand initiatives
  • Build a prioritized improvement portfolio using VSM, kaizen funnels, and A3s tied to SQDC metrics that enhance MasterBrand’s manufacturing platform
  • Improve Semi-Custom business maturity to identified target, focusing on Daily Management, 6S, Standard Work and other tools
  • Work with organizational leaders to build Kaizen funnel and opportunities for improvement; transition facilitation ownership to plant teams through co-facilitation and readiness verification
  • Develop a “train-the-trainer” model that reduces reliance on central CI resources

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or a related required; advanced degree or professional manufacturing certification(s) preferred
  • 10+ years leadership experience in a lean manufacturing organization
  • Proven track record for transforming organizations – building the team, managing change, streamlining processes and driving safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements
  • Demonstrated problem solving and project management skills
  • Experience with facilitation, delivering training to large groups preferred
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Experience with change management principles and demonstrated ability to drive and manage the change process
  • Influences without authority by using data, gemba insight, and shared ownership
  • Willingness and ability to travel overnight up to 75%, based on home office location
