Create your best future and join Westpac as a Senior Manager, Compliance Incidents
What’s the role?
The Senior Manager Compliance Incidents will be responsible for performing Compliance Assessments on incidents that are potentially reportable to a regulator, primarily ASIC, OAIC, BCCC and APRA. These incidents are owned by Consumer Division, Business and Wealth Division (excluding BT), Customer & Corporate Services Division and Group Functions.
The Senior Manager Compliance Incidents will also assist in the preparation of breach reports for incidents that are determined to be reportable. Compliance Assessments will require application of a range of statutory and industry regimes, including privacy, responsible lending, hardship, Banking Code of Practice, misleading and deceptive conduct, general licensee obligations, design & distribution obligations, debt collection, and prudential standards. Individuals in this role may not have expertise in all of these areas, but over time will develop expertise across the broad array of regimes applicable to the Group.
This includes through a training program that will provide a grounding across these different areas of law, and through access to subject matter experts within Compliance. This role is an excellent opportunity to further develop the broad ranging expertise foundational for more senior compliance roles within financial services.
This is a permanent fulltime role based in Sydney or Melbourne with flexible working arrangements (3 days in office).
