In this role, you'll:


Step into this position where your technical expertise translates into real-world impact, supporting the people and communities of NSW. As a Senior Manager, Complex Transactions Advisory, you’ll play a critical behind-the-scenes role in shaping major infrastructure, investment, and commercial transactions to deliver long-term value for the state.

Apply your technical expertise to something bigger, leading the delivery of expert accounting advice across Transport’s complex, high-value transactions to drive public value, community outcomes, and long-term impact for the people of NSW.

Lead the delivery of expert technical accounting advice across Transport’s complex, high-value transaction portfolio, providing strategic financial and commercial guidance to support major infrastructure and investment decisions across NSW.

Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and NSW Treasury frameworks while leading the implementation of new accounting standards and uplifting organisational capability, balancing strong commercial outcomes with public accountability.

Partner with senior executives, government agencies, and external advisors to deliver robust, transparent, and value-driven transaction outcomes.

Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

About you


You seek a role that sits at the centre of government decision-making, where finance meets strategy, policy, and community impact. You are a trusted adviser and strategic thinker who thrives in complexity.


You bring:


• Extensive experience delivering technical accounting advice in complex environments (government, infrastructure, or large corporates)


• Strong expertise in Australian Accounting Standards and their application to complex transactions


• Knowledge of public sector financial frameworks, including the Government Sector Finance Act and NSW Treasury guidelines


• Proven ability to influence and negotiate at senior levels across government and the private sector


• Highly developed analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking capability


• A strong track record of leading and developing high-performing teams


• The ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders


• Essential - Relevant tertiary qualification (Accounting, Business, Commerce, Economics or equivalent)


• Essential - Membership of a recognised professional accounting body
