
This once-in-a-century infrastructure investment will provide fast, reliable turn-up-and-go metro services with nine fully accessible stations between Hunter Street and Parramatta, linking communities to faster rail services and support employment growth and housing supply.
Play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of this visionary project, contributing to the transformation of our city, working with the teams on high-value project contracts including the Trains, Systems, Maintenance & Operations package, Linewide package, Hunter Street, and Stations Package West.
In these roles you'll:
• Manage the commercial aspects of a major contract package within the Sydney Metro program throughout the project delivery lifecycle
• Ensure the implementation of robust commercial frameworks, procedures, and best practices for contract administration and management
• Provide expert advice on complex commercial matters, including contract variations, claims management, risk allocation, and dispute resolution
• Review key contract information and prepare, issue and respond to contract notices in relation to the contract requirements ensuring Sydney Metro is complying with its contractual obligations
• Develop and maintain effective processes for managing the assessment of payment claims and variations in collaboration with stakeholders, while developing and maintaining project claims and insurance positions to ensure compliance with contractual and legislative requirements
• Lead and mentor a team of commercial professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
• Represent Sydney Metro in high-level stakeholder engagement, building trusted relationships with delivery partners, contractors, and consultants
• Undertake regular budget analysis, cost reporting and forecasting activities, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures
• Provide support and coordination relative to the reporting requirements of the project including preparation of briefing notes for expenditure under delegation and monthly project reports ensuring reporting facilitates the effective management of risks and successful project delivery
• Contribute to the strategic planning and decision-making that will transform Sydney's public transport network

About you
You hold tertiary qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, project management, or a related built environment discipline. You bring extensive experience in commercial management of complex, high-value infrastructure or construction projects.
With deep expertise in the built environment and detailed knowledge of construction contracts, you have a proven ability to lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to drive successful project delivery.
Your strong commercial acumen is complemented by a track record of driving innovation and best practice in contract administration, cost control, and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
Your exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills enable you to build trusted relationships with delivery partners. Finally, you are committed to delivering world-class public infrastructure for the people of Sydney.
