We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Nutrition Managerto lead and coordinate all clinical nutrition programs across inpatient, outpatient, and specialty care settings. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing, large-scale hospital systemthat includes a Level I Trauma Center, a dedicated Pediatric Hospital, a newly expanded Level IV NICU, and a state-of-the-art Formula Room You will oversee a team of 13 inpatient staff and 2 outpatient Hybrid RDs, managing operations across two facilities located approximately 7 miles apart.
This role reports to one senior leader and manages frontline clinical nutrition team members — including Registered Dietitians (RDs) and Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTRs) — with no intermediate supervisory layer.

This position exists to manage and coordinate all activities of clinical nutrition programs including inpatient, outpatient, and other areas/centers within the facility. Provides development of systems and employees who provide clinical nutritional care to all age groups and for all types of care.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Plans, directs and provides effective leadership of the clinical nutrition programs and staff providing for nutrition screening, assessment, monitoring and education according to established departmental and System policies/protocols. Provides guidance and direction to other nutrition services staff in all areas related to clinical nutrition care.
2. Selects, trains, coaches, and motivates members of the clinical nutrition staff. Participates in staff development, goal-setting and conducts performance evaluations of staff. Contributes to the successful achievement of department and organization goals.
3. Plans, monitors and makes recommendations regarding the clinical nutrition labor and supply budget. Promotes and manages efficient utilization of resources.
4. Provides effective patient nutrition care through the effective design, management and delivery of patient and staff nutrition education materials and programs.
5. Provides and directs staff in patient nutrition care planning to meet patient nutrition goals. Establishes patient nutrition care standards and audit systems to ensure optimum outcomes and compliance with internal processes and regulatory agencies.
6. Facility responsibility for clinical nutrition programs/services provided to patients in scope of responsibility. Internal customers: facility management and staff, medical staff and other health care providers interfacing with clinical nutrition care for the purpose of integrating services, improving patient care, ensuring effective communication and facilitating decision making. External customers: Patients and families regarding clinical nutrition patient care; physicians regarding nutrition care and program development; vendors and contractors regarding supplies and services; staff from other health care agencies and regulatory agencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics or related field. Must be a Registered Dietitian based on academic and professional requirements as defined by through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Effective January 1, 2024 CDR requires a minimum of Master's degree to be eligible to take the registration examination. Must hold current registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration of The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and be able to maintain ongoing registration while providing and provide verification of registration annually. Maintains current licensure as required by State law.
Knowledge and skills of clinical nutritional care as would typically be acquired in four or more years of nutrition and dietetics. Leadership skills are required to effectively organize, lead and manage staff and resources.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or business administration preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
