Job Description

Are you a strategic and people-focused change leader with a passion for driving successful transformation? We are seeking a Senior Manager – Change Management & Adoption to lead enterprise-wide change initiatives that support business strategy, enhance employee engagement, and ensure the effective adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working. This role will play a critical part in guiding stakeholders through change, building change capability, and embedding sustainable transformation across the organisation.

The Senior Manager - Change Management & Adoption exists to institutionalise change leadership across the Group. This role ensures people, processes, and culture evolve in lockstep with strategic initiatives, reducing resistance, accelerating adoption, and protecting investment in transformation.

The role leads a federated change model: delivering change for major programmes directly, while coaching and uplifting BU teams to manage local change effectively. This ensures Guardian builds sustainable internal change capability rather than dependency on external consultants.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Enterprise Change Leadership
• Establish and maintain the Group’s change management framework, toolkit, and governance.
• Lead change strategy development for major initiatives, ensuring clear articulation of impacts, readiness, and adoption pathways.
• Conduct organisational impact assessments, stakeholder analyses, and adoption risk evaluations.

2. Execution & Adoption Management
• Lead change delivery for strategic programmes, ensuring communication, training, readiness, and reinforcement activities drive adoption.
• Partner with other key stakeholders to ensure change is embedded in every stage of the delivery lifecycle.
• Track and report adoption KPIs, behavioural changes, and real-world utilisation of new processes and systems.

3. Federated Change Enablement
• Coach BU leaders and managers to understand and execute change responsibilities.
• Build capability through training, guidance, and consistent reinforcement of change expectations.
• Maintain a central repository of change artefacts, playbooks, and templates.

4. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
• Develop enterprise communication strategies that support transparency, alignment, and trust during transformation.
• Ensure messages are clear, consistent, and tailored to different audiences across multiple territories.
• Partner with HR, Communications, and Shared Services to align cultural and organisational initiatives.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Communications, Psychology, or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Business, HR, Communications, Psychology or related field, or equivalent preferred
• Prosci certification or equivalent strongly preferred
• 7-10 years’ relevant experience leading major programmes in complex organisations
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive adoption
• Experience in multi-territory or complex organisational environments
• Strong experience preparing executive-level delivery reporting

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
As a regulated entity with obligations under the Know Your Employee guidelines, a Certificate of Character is required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
The Senior Manager must demonstrate empathy, influence, and the ability to navigate complex organisational dynamics with maturity and professional courage. They must balance strategic insight with practical execution, guiding senior stakeholders through behavioural and organisational shifts with composure and credibility. The role requires a deep commitment to transparency, thoughtful engagement, and evidence-based decision-making. Curiosity, emotional intelligence, and resilience are essential to understand resistance drivers, address concerns constructively, and foster a culture of ownership and adoption across the Group.
