Create your best future and join Westpac as a Senior Manager, Business & Wealth Assurance

What’s the role?

You’ll step into a senior leadership role where you’re guiding how 2nd line assurance is delivered across Business and Wealth. Working within the Risk division, you’ll lead independent assurance reviews that help strengthen how risk is managed and how decisions are made. This isn’t just about oversight – you’ll bring data, insights and practical recommendations together to support better outcomes for customers and the business.

Based in Sydney, this is a permanent role where you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, influence key discussions and help shape the broader assurance approach. You’ll also lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and strong technical capability. If you enjoy translating complex risk information into clear, meaningful insights and making a visible impact, you’ll find this role both challenging and rewarding.

What do I need?

You’ll bring a strong mix of assurance, risk and stakeholder experience, with the ability to turn insights into action.

  • Strong experience in financial services across assurance, risk, audit, compliance or consulting
  • Understanding of Business banking and wealth management portfolio (Essential)
  • Confidence reviewing risk frameworks and assessing control effectiveness
  • Ability to analyse data and generate meaningful, practical insights
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders
