About the Role

BDO’s Business Services division helps clients succeed by delivering world class advisory and compliance support across all areas of their business. Our clients include emerging enterprises, fast growing corporate groups and high income / high net worth families across a wide range of industries.


We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join our vibrant and growing team. In this role, you will take ownership of a significant client portfolio, act as a senior advisor to clients and play an important role in developing our people, strengthening key relationships and supporting the continued growth of the division. This is an opportunity to bring your technical expertise, commercial acumen and leadership capability to a collaborative team known for delivering high quality, tailored business advice.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the management of daily operations within a dynamic 5 partner Business Services team
  • Take ownership of a substantial portfolio of clients, acting as a senior point of contact and trusted advisor across compliance, tax and broader business matters
  • Lead, mentor and develop team members to build capability and support consistent delivery of high-quality client service
  • Review complex financial statements, income tax returns and related compliance obligations for corporate groups, family groups and emerging enterprises
  • Provide tax planning, structuring and strategic business advice tailored to client needs
  • Oversee workflow, resourcing and budgets across engagements to ensure work is delivered on time and to a high standard
  • Contribute to the management of a growing fee base and support client transition and allocation across the team
  • Prepare and review management reporting and financial models where required
  • Build strong internal and external networks, identify growth opportunities and contribute to the ongoing success of the division


Skills/Attributes Required:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues and stakeholders
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to apply technical knowledge in a practical way to complex client situations
  • Proven leadership capability, with experience developing, mentoring and managing team members
  • Collaborative and solution focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, accountable and adaptable, with the confidence to work autonomously and contribute new ideas

Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Strong accounting experience within a professional services or accounting firm environment
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Experience leading larger and more complex client groups across compliance, tax and advisory work
  • Broad consulting exposure and the ability to manage diverse client engagements and fee portfolios
