Job Summary:

The Senior Manager, Business Readiness & Commerce Enablement is responsible for ensuring successful business adoption of the company's ecommerce platform across multiple business units and operating companies. This role serves as the primary business readiness lead for each deployment, partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Merchandising, Finance, Operations, Technology, Marketing, Learning & Development, Change Management, and Executive Leadership to prepare each site for a successful launch.

This role develops and executes rollout strategies, drives organizational readiness, coordinates training and change management activities, and ensures all business processes, product data, and customer onboarding activities are completed prior to launch. Success is measured by adoption, operational readiness, customer activation, achievement of rollout milestones, and post-launch performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Director of Project Management to develop and execute end-to-end deployment plans for commerce rollouts across multiple business units.
  • Establish launch readiness criteria and ensure all functional teams meet deployment milestones.
  • Lead cross-functional readiness meetings and executive status updates.
  • Identify deployment risks and drive mitigation plans.
  • Serve as the primary business lead throughout pre-launch, go-live, and post-launch stabilization.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to prepare Sales teams and customers for commerce adoption.
  • Develop and deliver pre-launch readiness packages.
  • Coordinate and communicate Sales preparation activities, including customer contracts, item restrictions, and price letter management.
  • Ensure Sales Consultant and customer account management readiness within Salesforce.
  • Identify and onboard Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for pilot locations.
  • Partner with Learning & Development to create Sales training to support pre-launch and post-launch activities.
  • Schedule training calls and post-launch support sessions in partnership with Technology Enablement.
  • Monitor adoption and reinforce best practices after launch.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Plant Managers, Specialty Governance, and Project Evolve to ensure products are digitally ready.
  • Coordinate product readiness activities, including default pricing configuration, price tier validation, product restriction lists, item-level cutoff time validation, prefix and item mapping reviews, and SUPC compliance validation.
  • Drive resolution of product data issues affecting ecommerce.
  • Partner with Finance and Sysco Pay teams to prepare business processes, including credit hold procedures and new customer setup.
  • Coordinate user training and documentation for commerce-related Finance processes.
  • Understand Pay and Commerce timelines to create a cohesive field experience.
  • Partner with Enterprise Change Management teams to document future-state business processes and identify organizational impacts.
  • Develop communication strategies and coordinate training schedules.
  • Measure training effectiveness and user readiness.
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales to develop customer onboarding materials and drive customer activation.
  • Coordinate launch communications and support customer prospecting campaigns.
  • Enable digital adoption activities and ensure customers understand new ecommerce capabilities.
  • Develop business readiness metrics and post-launch reporting.
  • Partner with business leaders to create dashboards measuring adoption, customer activation, Sales engagement, training completion, site readiness, launch KPIs, business performance, and post-launch support trends.
  • Use business insights and post-launch results to continuously improve future deployments.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Business Unit Leadership, Sales Leadership, Merchandising, Operations, Finance, Technology, Product Management, Marketing, Learning & Development, Change Management, Specialty Governance, Project Evolve, and Customer Service.
  • Monitor success measures including on-time launch execution, business readiness scorecard completion, Sales training completion, customer onboarding, ecommerce adoption, active customer growth, Sales Consultant engagement, product data readiness, reduction in post-launch issues, stakeholder satisfaction, and achievement of rollout milestones.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Sales, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience leading cross-functional business initiatives.
  • Experience in change management, training, or business transformation.
  • Experience implementing enterprise software or ecommerce platforms.
  • Strong project and program management experience.
  • Experience influencing senior leaders without direct authority.
  • Ecommerce or digital commerce experience preferred.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • ERP implementation or rollout experience preferred.
  • Learning & Development experience preferred.
  • Experience leading multi-site deployments preferred.
