As the Senior Manager for Sustainable Tourism in Thailand, you will lead the strategic expansion and long-term management of Klook’s sustainable merchant portfolio. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of partnerships—starting with a core focus on the elephant sanctuary sector—while serving as a key advocate and liaison between Klook, our partners, and the broader sustainability ecosystem in Thailand.

What you’ll do

Strategic Planning

• Work with local and regional leadership team to shape the annual business strategy for Klook in sustainable tourism in Thailand.
• Analyze macroeconomic trends, competitor movements, and regulatory shifts to identify new growth levers for the sustainable tourism business in Thailand.
• Develop long-term roadmaps that align sustainability goals with Klook’s broader commercial KPIs in the Thai market.

Strategic Business Development

• Identify, pitch, and onboard high-quality sustainable tourism merchants across Thailand.
• Lead the initial expansion into the elephant sanctuary sector, ensuring a robust pipeline of ethical partners.
• Develop a roadmap to scale the portfolio into other sustainable tourism verticals (e.g. ocean animal protection, community-based tourism, and eco-tourism …etc).

Key Account Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for top-tier sustainable merchants, building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
• Conduct regular business reviews to optimize merchant performance, pricing strategies, and inventory availability.
• Provide data-driven insights to help partners improve their conversion and service quality.

Advocacy & Education

• Serve as the internal subject matter expert on sustainable travel trends and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with Marketing to create campaigns that educate Klook users on the impact of their travel choices and drive sustainable tourism business growth.

Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with NGOs, local government bodies (such as TAT), and certification agencies to ensure Klook remains at the forefront of Thai sustainable tourism policy.
• Represent Klook in industry forums and working groups related to animal welfare and responsible travel.

What you’ll need

• Proven experience in a senior business development or partnership management role, ideally within the tourism, travel, or sustainability sectors.
• Strong understanding of the sustainable tourism landscape and ethical business practices in Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand.
• Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and achieve ambitious business development targets.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience with the ethical standards and operational challenges related to animal tourism (e.g., elephant sanctuaries) is desirable.
• Fluency in English and Thai is a must.
