The Position

As Senior Manager Automation Technology - Honeywell, you will be responsible for developing, standardizing, and managing the full lifecycle of process automation templates based on the Honeywell Experion platform. You will support harmonized, efficient, and compliant implementation of automation solutions across projects and sites, enabling reuse, high quality, and long-term maintainability.

Tasks & responsibilities

• You will develop, maintain, and govern standardized process automation templates, libraries, and reference architecture using the Honeywell Experion platform.
• By translating functional, operational, and regulatory requirements, you will create reusable automation design standards and engineering templates.
• You will ensure that automation templates comply with internal engineering standards, cybersecurity requirements, and applicable regulatory frameworks (e.g. GxP).
• You will bring proven experience in the validation of GxP systems into your daily work.
• In alignment with overall IT/OT architecture, lifecycle strategies, and vendor roadmaps, you will align process automation templates accordingly.
• Through close coordination with engineering, facility management, IT/OT teams, and external partners, you will align BMS solutions with the enterprise architecture.
• You will maintain comprehensive documentation, version control, and structured change management for automation templates and standards.
• As the subject matter expert, you will actively drive Honeywell-based process automation standardization and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, preferably in Automation Technology with long-term professional experience in process automation, preferably with Honeywell control systems.
• Strong understanding of automation architectures, control strategies, and system lifecycle concepts
• Knowledge of IT / OT as well as Cybersecurity
• Experience in commissioning and lifecycle management of Process Automation systems
• Project management experience / major projects > €2 million Automation Budget
• Experience with standardization and documentation in complex or regulated environments preferred
• Openness to occasional international business travel
• Fluent communication skills in English and German
