Job Title: Senior Manager, AI Technologies & Development

Albemarle is hiring for a Senior Manager, AI Technologies & Development. This position is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining, building, and scaling enterprise AI capabilities, including GenAI, AI/ML platforms.

This role operates at the intersection of business strategy, emerging AI technologies, and enterprise architecture, leading the end-to-end lifecycle of AI initiatives—from use-case identification and roadmap development to deployment, scaling, and governance.

What You Will Do

AI Strategy, Vision & Roadmap

- Define and execute a multi-year enterprise AI Technology Roadmap aligned with business priorities

- Identify high-impact AI and GenAI use cases across functions

- Drive executive-level engagement and governance for AI initiatives

- Establish frameworks to scale AI adoption and embed AI into enterprise workflows

AI Development & Platform Leadership

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML and GenAI solutions

- Oversee AI platform capabilities across cloud ecosystems such as Azure AI and ML services

- Drive integration of AI solutions into enterprise applications

- Ensure scalable architecture using MLOps, CI/CD, and modular services

GenAI & Enterprise Integration

- Lead adoption of GenAI technologies including copilots and AI agents

- Design enterprise-grade AI integrations across platforms such as Microsoft ecosystem and SAP

- Partner with business and IT teams to embed AI into end-to-end processes

Governance, Risk & Responsible AI

- Establish AI governance frameworks including lifecycle management and monitoring

- Ensure security, privacy, and regulatory compliance standards are met

- Define guardrails for ethical AI usage

Portfolio & Delivery Management

- Manage a pipeline of AI initiatives from proof-of-concept to enterprise deployment

- Lead cross-functional teams and manage complex stakeholder environments

- Oversee vendor partnerships and drive measurable outcomes

Leadership & Capability Building

- Build and lead multidisciplinary AI and platform teams

- Mentor talent and foster a culture of innovation

- Drive AI adoption through training and change management

What You Bring

Required Experience & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred

- 10+ years of experience in technology with focus on AI/ML or GenAI

- Experience defining and executing enterprise AI strategies

- Hands-on experience delivering AI/GenAI solutions

- Strong cloud platform experience (Azure, etc.)

- Proven leadership in cross-functional team environments

Preferred Experience & Skills

- Experience with GenAI frameworks and copilots

- Experience integrating AI into enterprise systems

- Strong stakeholder communication skills

- Experience in large enterprise environments
