YOUR ROLE AS A SENIOR MANAGER, AI STRATEGY & ENABLEMENT
WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:
- Lead the AI transformation agenda across the Commercial function by identifying, prioritizing, and delivering high-impact AI initiatives that improve revenue performance, customer engagement, commercial productivity, forecasting accuracy, and operational decision-making.
- Partner closely with Commercial leadership teams including Revenue Management, Pricing, Network Planning, Scheduling, Slot Management, Marketing,, Sales, Distribution, and Ancillary Revenue to identify practical opportunities where AI can create measurable business value.
- Act as the strategic bridge between Commercial and Technology teams by translating business problems into scalable AI-enabled solutions while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, AI governance, security standards, and data strategy.
- Drive the development and implementation of AI use cases including demand forecasting, dynamic pricing, route profitability analysis, scheduling optimization, slot utilization optimization, campaign personalization, customer segmentation, automated insight generation, AI copilots, productivity automation, and commercial intelligence solutions.
- Collaborate with ICT, Product, Engineering, Data, and external technology partners to shape scalable, secure, and commercially viable AI solutions that support AirAsia’s long-term transformation agenda.
- Support Commercial leadership teams in making faster and more data-driven decisions through AI-powered insights, simulations, automation, and recommendation capabilities.
- Champion AI literacy and adoption across the Commercial organization by driving awareness, capability building, and change management initiatives to ensure AI solutions are effectively embedded into day-to-day operations.
- Challenge legacy ways of working and identify opportunities to reduce manual reporting dependency, improve workflow efficiency, and modernize commercial operating models.
- Ensure responsible and governed AI usage by partnering with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Data Governance, and ICT teams on areas relating to data privacy, explainability, security, auditability, and ethical AI practices.
- Lead and guide AI and transformation team members while fostering a commercially focused, agile, and execution-driven culture.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, Engineering, Economics, Information Systems, Aviation, or other equivalent qualifications.
- Experience in AI, analytics, digital transformation, consulting, commercial strategy, product management, or business technology transformation: 8+ years
- Experience engaging and influencing senior business stakeholders in complex and fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading or delivering AI, automation, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives with measurable business outcomes.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand revenue drivers, customer behavior, operational constraints, market dynamics, and business trade-offs.
- Experience within airlines, aviation, travel, e-commerce, loyalty, digital platforms, or consumer technology businesses is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, Generative AI, predictive analytics, recommendation systems, forecasting models, business intelligence tools, APIs, cloud-based AI platforms, prompt engineering, and AI governance principles.
- Experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Big Query, or similar platforms is an advantage.
- Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, communication, storytelling, and change management capabilities.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity with a bias toward execution, innovation, and continuous improvement.
