[What the role is]

Senior Manager (AI Engineer)

[What you will be working on]

Candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of cutting-edge artificial intelligence and machine learning products from conception to deployment. This role requires a unique blend of proven technical expertise, a deep understanding of AI/ML technologies and their practical applications, and product management skills.

What you will be working on:

  • Define, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions to solve business problems, including translating complex AI/ML concepts and requirements into detailed project plans.
  • Apply appropriate machine learning algorithms (supervised or unsupervised learning) and understand trade-offs to any data problem.
  • Define tools required for a product development and provide advice to organisation on suitable development environments/tools to deploy.
  • Analyse the engineering trade-offs and choices, and articulate technical decision to the rest of the team to help them understand.
  • Implement safeguards and controls for AI-generated content.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, product owners, and stakeholders, to define product requirements and roadmaps.
  • Document workflows and maintain reproducibility of AI pipelines.
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore Government security and data governance standards.

[What we are looking for]

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field in data science/ML/AI.
  • Proven experience in developing products using modern AI/ML frameworks and tools (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face), including latest GenAI tools.
  • Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks (e.g., Langchain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI).
  • Proven experience in managing the delivery of AI/ML products or projects.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, data structures, and software development principles (including frontend and backend), Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and agentic AI.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI principles and ethical considerations
  • Pass the online technical assessment administered by the Government Technology Agency’s Digital Academy and submit the official results to BCA as part of the recruitment process.
  • Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • PMP, Agile, Scrum, or similar certifications are a plus.
