About this role

HVAC Aftermarket North America is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Manager - Aftermarket Material Planning, to join our HVAC Aftermarket Planning team. The Senior Manager - Aftermarket Material Planning is responsible for leading the planning team which focuses on both the material planning and procurement activities and works to ensure the seamless flow of materials to meet customer demand. This person must have a strong background in supply chain management, experience defining material planning and inventory strategies, and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively, and strong people leadership skills.

This is onsite in Syracuse NY

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Lead and oversee the aftermarket material planning team, ensuring everyone is aligned with our strategic goals. Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, promoting a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement robust strategies for effective material management and purchasing activities. Ensure the seamless integration of supply chain processes to meet the company's aftermarket objectives.
  • Inventory Management: Define appropriate inventory levels to balance supply and demand effectively, reducing excess stock while ensuring availability. Implement strategies for optimal inventory turnover.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to guarantee the timely and accurate availability of materials. Build strong relationships to facilitate smooth operations and effective communication.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve processes and systems to achieve better efficiency and performance. Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions that streamline operations and boost productivity.
  • ERP Systems Management: Ensure the proper functioning of ERP systems, utilizing them to their full potential for efficient material planning and inventory control.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in material planning or supply chain management, with a focus on aftermarket services.
  • 2+ years of leading a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Master’s degree in supply chain management
  • Certification in APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) or similar
  • Advanced MS Excel and data analysis
  • Proficiency in material planning software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE
  • Experience with international sourcing and procurement
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • English communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
