Driving research and innovation in the built environment sector and translation of promising solutions

[What you will be working on]

At BERII/ACIPD, we drive research and innovation in the built environment sector by channeling resources to high impact areas, strengthen the innovation ecosystem and ease barriers to technology adoption.

As a senior manager in BERII/ACIPD, you will be expected to:

1. Develop and administer effective industry programmes (including grants), manage risks and programme outcomes to support sectoral transformation and BCA's policy objectives.

2. Engage proactively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve programme deliverables and foster collaborations, to support delivery and deployment of meaningful research solutions.

The work may include:

• Keeping abreast of emerging innovations and impactful technology developments

• Managing the administration of research grants and oversee the translation of promising solutions

• Identifying potential opportunities for R&D translation, leveraging regular and effective engagement mechanisms to gather input and insights from key stakeholders, to raise awareness, and foster effective matchmaking and collaborations

[What we are looking for]

• Tertiary qualification in engineering, building or construction-related discipline with relevant working experience in the BE sector.

• Strong interest in technology and innovations, prior experience in translating R&D investments into practical products or driving adoption of innovative solutions.

• Prior experience in design thinking, ops-tech integration, managing R&D programmes will be an added advantage.

• Strong analytical, research, writing, presentation and interpersonal skills.

• Motivated individual who can build upon broad strokes to develop detailed plans.

• Able to work independently as well as within a team effectively, and be able to operate with confidence in professional engagement and networking settings.
