
[What the role is]
The Senior Manager (Admin & Operations) plays a pivotal role in the Chingay Organising Team within the Arts & Culture Division (ACD), driving the operational and administrative excellence that underpins the successful delivery of the Chingay Parade. This role contributes directly to the success of the parade by ensuring that all aspects of parade management, stakeholder engagement, and organisational support are executed effectively and cohesively.
He/She leads the planning and execution of parade and site operations, taking ownership of stakeholder engagement, security, crowd and traffic management, and related logistics through close collaboration with government agencies and volunteers. He/She is accountable for ensuring that operational plans are robust, risks are managed, and on-ground execution meets the standards expected of a national event.
He/She oversees the full spectrum of administrative and secretariat functions for both Chingay and ACD, ensuring sound governance across procurement, financial auditing, reporting, and work schedule management. He/She also manages key stakeholder relationships to support the broader organisational objectives of the division.
He/She leads and develops a manager responsible for site and carpark management, and concurrently serves as Production Manager for performing groups, guiding them in delivering performances that meet the creative and operational standards of the Chingay Parade.

Knowledge & Skills
At least 3 years of experience in managing largescale or national events.
The ideal candidate is a team player with an outgoing and sociable character, meticulous, numerate, and possessing strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
The candidate must be resourceful, highly motivated, and able to work independently with good initiative.
He/She must be prepared to work long and irregular hours, including weekday evenings and weekends, and thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
