EXL's Insurance Innovation and New Market Solutions team is built to work differently from the rest of the organization. We're reshaping how EXL goes to market, moving from selling effort to selling outcomes and positioning the company as an AI-first product business. As we scale, we need a deep P&C insurance expert who can sit between our build team and the market, making sure the agentic solutions we create solve real problems and reach the field in language clients understand.

We're looking for an Insurance P&C SME to be that voice. It's a high-ownership, high-visibility role at the center of the team, working shoulder to shoulder with the build team, account managers, partners, and leadership to turn domain insight into prototypes, and prototypes into stories the market acts on.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Deep P&C insurance expertise, ideally from years inside or close to carriers, with real fluency in claims, underwriting, and the economics that drive them.
• The credibility to educate account managers and senior insurance stakeholders and earn their trust.
• A genuine feel for AI and agentic solutions, enough to review prototypes critically and picture where they fit in real workflows.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills, turning the build team's work into clear collateral, messaging, and decks the market understands.
• Curiosity and a research mindset, turning what you see in the market into insight the whole team can use.
• Enough organization to keep a few initiatives on track without losing the plot.

• P&C domain expertise. Be the team's go-to authority on property and casualty insurance, fluent in the workflows, pain points, and economics that matter to carriers, so everything we build and pitch is grounded in how the industry actually works.
• Prototype review and feedback. Review the prototypes the build team creates, pressure-test them against real P&C use cases, and share clear, practical feedback that makes each solution sharper and more convincing.
• Collateral and messaging. Turn domain insight into market-ready collateral and messaging: sharp decks, narratives, and proof points that account managers can carry into the field.
• GTM enablement. Connect with account managers and client executives to educate them on our agentic offerings and equip them to take the story to market. When it helps, you may be invited into client meetings, though the front-line sales conversations sit onshore.
• Intelligence across GTM. Channel what you learn from prototypes, account managers, and the market back into GTM, so our positioning, collateral, and pursuit strategy keep getting smarter.
• Initiative coordination. Keep the key build and GTM initiatives moving with a light touch on owners, timelines, and dependencies, so nothing important stalls.

Bachelor Degree in relevant field with 10 - 12 years of relevant experience
