- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems specific to mechanical works in thermal power projects, ensuring alignment with Adani’s corporate quality policies and ISO standards.
- Lead and oversee inspection, testing, and validation of mechanical components including boilers, turbines, pumps, valves, piping, and associated structures to guarantee adherence to design specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to integrate quality checkpoints and early risk identification strategies throughout project lifecycles.
- Establish and enforce robust vendor quality management processes including vendor selection, audits, capability assessments, and supplier development programs.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective action processes for quality deviations, non-conformities, and failures, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and zero defect philosophy.
- Champion the implementation of predictive and preventive maintenance quality protocols to enhance equipment reliability and extend lifecycle.
- Facilitate training programs for quality teams and cross-functional personnel to elevate mechanical quality awareness, technical competencies, and adherence to safety standards.
- Prepare and present quality performance reports, metrics, and dashboards for senior management, highlighting risks, opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
- Lead internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and statutory compliance checks related to mechanical quality.
- Ensure integration of sustainable practices in quality processes by supporting environmental protection norms and occupational health & safety standards.
- Act as a key quality liaison with clients, contractors, regulatory authorities, and third-party inspection agencies to maintain transparency and uphold Adani’s reputation.
- Mentor and develop quality engineers and supervisors, building a resilient and motivated team aligned with Adani’s values of ownership, innovation, and teamwork.
- Participate actively in project reviews, design verification, and commissioning activities to certify mechanical quality before project handover.
- Promote the use of advanced quality tools and techniques such as Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, and statistical process control to optimize quality outcomes.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in mechanical quality management within the thermal power sector.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred
12 to 19 years of progressive experience in quality management within the thermal power projects or allied heavy engineering industries
