Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join a dynamic finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong management accounting experience and year-end reporting knowledge to contribute directly to business performance, decision-making, and financial planning.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

Full Time: Open to 4 or 5 days a week.

Office based: 4 days in Office / 1 day WFH.

The Role:

As a key member of the finance team, you will take ownership of the full management accounting cycle and provide accurate, timely reporting to support business decisions. You will work closely with departmental stakeholders and the finance leadership team to drive financial insight and control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts and reports
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Support the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors
  • Monitor key performance indicators and provide actionable financial insights
  • Oversee and reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Manage cost centres, departmental reporting, and internal control processes
  • Support operational teams with financial analysis and reporting requests
  • Maintain accurate financial records in line with company policy and accounting standards
  • Work with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar) to streamline reporting

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA / CIMA) or equivalent experience / QBE
  • Proven experience in management accounting within industry
  • Strong experience preparing year-end accounts and reporting
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Confident communicator with the ability to explain financial data to non-finance colleagues
  • Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently
