As a Senior Major Account Executive, you will be a regional expert in new customer acquisition sales. Your primary focus will be prospecting and closing new logos for Akamai in commerce and media industry segments. Success will be clearly defined and there will be room for creativity to achieve your targets.

As a Senior Major Account Executive, you will be responsible for:

• Utilizing marketing resources to create/manage a high-volume sales pipeline across the Australian media and commerce market verticals
• Working in integrated partnerships with sales engineers, internal support resources and channel partners to ensure consultative engagement
• Planning and executing on new customer acquisition within territory guidelines
• Close-working and collaboration with field marketing and sales development functions
• Recording customer development activities within a CRM to ensure operational excellence
• Acting as the primary point of contact to key internal and customer stakeholders to build relationships and customer success

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 8+ years selling experience
• Demonstrate successful sales experience in new business acquisition
• Have experience in selling cyber security software solutions to Enterprise level customers
• Have a proven track record in over-achieving quarterly/annual quotas with enterprise level new customer targets
• Have high ethics, integrity, and be very self-motivated
• Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with customers including at the C-suite level
