Job Description

MTSI is seeking a Senior Maintenance Training Technical Expert to support a high‑priority U.S. Air Force program by helping plan, develop, and sustain advanced training systems at Wright‑Patterson AFB.

  • You will provide direct advisory and assistance support (A&AS) to U.S. Air Force customers in a high visibility U.S. Air Force Program Office
  • You will help the customer Program Office provide planning and acquisition of cost-effective, long-term critical U.S. Air Force capabilities in an Integrated Product Team structure
  • You will work side by side with customers and other A&AS contractors in the Program Office
  • Working with the customer, you will also interface with major defense contractors who supply critical defense capabilities
  • The majority of your work will be performed in the customer workspace
  • Some travel will be required
  • You will typically work on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of the program and perform all functional duties independently
  • You may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job

How you will contribute to our National Security and Defense mission:

As a Senior Maintenance Training Technical Expert with MTSI, you will be responsible for helping your Air Force customer plan, develop, upgrade, monitor, maintain, and support training systems and processes for a top priority program. You will interact daily with Air Force program managers and industry subject matter experts. This position will be located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.

Responsibilities:

  • Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
  • Supporting all aspects of weapon training systems development, production, and fielding related to the DoD's integrated Product Support Elements PSEs:
  • Life Cycle Sustainment Management to include Product Support Management, Supply Support, Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation, and Maintenance Planning and Management
  • Technical Management to include Design Interface, Sustaining Engineering, Technical Data, and Computer Resources
  • Infrastructure Management to include Facilities and Infrastructure, Manpower and Personnel, and Training and Training Support
  • Supporting evaluation of logistics systems requirements, designs, and products to ensure the weapon training systems satisfy the integrated PSEs
  • Supporting development, review, and coordination of logistics support documentation including Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP), Technical Orders (TOs), Training Coursework and Manuals, and technical data products
  • Supporting the Depot Source of Repair process, the TO Data Conference, technical data reviews, and Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) tasks
  • Supporting review and coordination of contractor Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) analyses and recommendations

Qualifications Required:

  • 10 years of relevant DoD work logistics and maintenance experience
  • 4 years of experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment (within the last 5 years)
  • 5 years of experience with USAF maintenance training systems and coursework
  • ·Understand and be capable of supporting the USAF Training Systems Requirement Analysis process
  • Experience with training systems technical orders and technical data
  • Understand the process to stand up maintenance training capability at a MOB

Education:

  • BA/BS degree in logistics, management, engineering, or science/math is highly desired

Clearance Requirements:

  • Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP eligibility)
