Job Description

Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to join on of our clients team at (2) properties in Shakopee, MN (55379). The ideal candidate will have general maintenance knowledge, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day and is self-sufficient. No special certifications or licenses required for this role. This role is contract – expected to go 30-90 days in length but could become permanent for the right candidate.

This role will be working with (2) communities – 1 luxury and 1 affordable with 160 units combined.

Salary: $25-$29/hour DOQ.

Schedule: Monday – Friday – 8AM – 5PM.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors, and other parts of the building.
• Maintains the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up, shoveling, and sweeping curb/dumpster area, maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
• Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
• Install, repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
• Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwashers, etc.).
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
• Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains, repair/replace leaking faucets, remove/replace caulking, replace different components of toilets, adjust/replace door closures, and replace locks, deadbolts, and passage locks.
• Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 2 years’ experience in residential maintenance luxury and affordable experience is highly preferred.
• Be able to pass a Kari Koskinen background check.
• Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
