The Senior Maintenance Technician takes pride in caring for the health and wellbeing of the physical facility. They maintain a five-star environment with the day-to-day operations and cleanliness to the required standards while ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all staff and guests.

You don’t believe in ‘MacGyvering’ it, as far as your concerned, anything worth doing, is worth doing right, every single time. Your wide skill sets allow you to perform general building, pool and property maintenance. You are responsible for maintaining various pieces of equipment and coordinate the day-to-day operation of the maintenance department. You thrive in an environment where you can perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, and repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of our business goals and objectives.

You are a go-getter who promotes a building-wide utilities efficiency program, as well as regulatory items such as licensing, and preventative maintenance, all while ensuring the building assets are secure, maintained and running smoothly. You enjoy working in a hybrid environment that combines traditional office work with more hands-on work, throughout the building.

As a member of the Joint Health & Safety team you ensure all building compliance and regulatory items are maintained. By utilizing a computerized maintenance management software, you can focus on organizing, prioritizing and providing day-to-day assistance to the building operations department.

To la nd this role you need to have;

  • A college diploma, University degree or equivalent experience is strongly preferred. Trade school training is an asset.
  • 3+ years facility operations experience
  • 1+ years personnel management experience
  • Prior Plumbing, HVAC or Electrical experience is preferred with proficiency in at least 1 major area.
  • Proficient with the use of basic hand tools and various power tools.
  • Proficient with operations of a multimeter and ammeter.
  • Ability to use software systems such as HIPPO
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification and prior knowledge of pool operations preferred.
  • Must hold valid driver’s license, auto insurance and demonstrated safe driving record.
  • CPR/First Aid certification required prior to start date and must be maintained throughout employment
  • All team members must provide a recent Criminal Background Check prior to commencement of training and/or work.
