We are looking for a Maintenance Planner, 4-stroke Marine with a main responsibility in planning and coordinating maintenance activities for global marine agreements. The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland
Wärtsilä Performance Services Marine is looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our team working for a better future. In this role, you will contribute to the global execution of marine agreements and act as a key partner together with the Contract Manager.
We offer you interesting and challenging tasks in the growing marine agreement business. You will be a member of the Maintenance Management team in the Vaasa Expertise Centre. Occasional travel (approximately 5%) may be required, although most collaboration happens virtually.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Maintenance Planner, 4-stroke Marine, your work will include planning, coordinating and following up maintenance activities for assigned contracts. You will ensure that maintenance is executed efficiently, resources are properly planned, and communication flows smoothly between stakeholders. The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You’ll be working as a part of a global Maintenance Management team with diverse expertise.
Your work will focus on these responsibilities:
Preparing maintenance plans for assigned contracts
Planning and coordinating scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and overhauls
Planning required resources and competences for field work execution
Collaborating with Contract Managers, customers, external providers, and internal stakeholders
Following up on executed and postponed maintenance tasks and driving improvements
Preparing and monitoring maintenance budgets for annual contract planning
Supporting development of maintenance planning tools and processes
Performing swing-set planning
To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have:
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical or Production Engineering or relevant field
Understanding of marine diesel engines and basic engine functionality
Structured and systematic way of working with a proactive mindset
Good teamwork, communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Knowledge of Operations & Maintenance and maintenance management practices
Understanding of contract-based business
Fluency in written and spoken English and French
Willingness to travel and solid computer skills
Seen as an advantage:
Advanced knowledge of marine engine operations and maintenance
Experience from marine field service
Knowledge of Maximo or other CMMS systems
Strong presentation skills
