Position: Senior Machine Shop Operator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Machine Shop Operator to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of machines in our machine shop, ensuring the production of high-quality components for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine machine set up and production requirements
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances are met
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making necessary adjustments as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during production
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure their optimal performance
- Train and mentor junior machine shop operators as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to improve processes and optimize production efficiency
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in machining is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a machine shop operator, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role
- Extensive knowledge of various machining techniques and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
- Experience with CNC machines is a plus
Contract Details:
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The contract will be for an initial period of one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
