We are seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Teams to lead the design, operations, and continuous improvement of our enterprise collaboration platform. This role is responsible for end‑to‑end ownership of Microsoft Teams, including chat, meetings, voice, governance, security, automation, and integrations. The engineer will act as a technical lead and Tier‑3 escalation point, ensuring platform stability, security, and excellent user experience across the organization. The position works closely with Security, Compliance, End‑User Computing, and Infrastructure teams in a highly governed, enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Microsoft Teams Engineering & Operations

  • Own and manage Microsoft Teams services including Chat, Meetings, Channels, Apps, and Integrations

  • Design, configure, and support Teams Phone, Calling Plans, Direct Routing, and Operator Connect

  • Act as Tier‑3 escalation for complex Microsoft Teams incidents, outages, and performance issues

  • Perform deep troubleshooting using Teams admin tools, logs, and service diagnostics

Architecture, Governance & Security

  • Define and enforce Teams governance standards (policies, lifecycle management, access controls)

  • Implement and maintain Teams policies for meetings, messaging, voice, and external federation

  • Partner with Security & Compliance teams for audits, access reviews, and risk mitigation

  • Ensure Teams configurations align with organizational security and compliance requirements

Automation & Optimization

  • Automate Teams administration and reporting using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API

  • Reduce operational overhead through scripting, automation, and standardized workflows

  • Evaluate Microsoft roadmap changes and introduce enhancements that improve reliability and usability

Copilot & Modern Collaboration

  • Support and enable Copilot for Microsoft Teams and AI‑assisted collaboration scenarios

  • Work with stakeholders to identify use cases that improve productivity through Teams innovations

Documentation, Mentoring & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and architecture documentation aligned with ITSM practices

  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on Teams best practices

  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders, leadership, and end users during incidents and changes

Required Skills :

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or strong hands-on experience

  • 5+ years hands‑on experience managing Microsoft 365 at enterprise scale

  • Expertise in:

    • Teams policies (meeting, messaging, voice, federation)

    • Teams Phone, Calling Plans, Direct Routing, Operator Connect

    • Teams troubleshooting and service health analysis

  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Graph API

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 identity, security, and compliance concepts

  • Experience working within ITSM frameworks (Incident, Problem, Change Management)

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills for complex platform issues

  • Ability to produce high‑quality technical documentation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple technical teams

  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior engineers

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot for Teams

  • Microsoft certifications such as MS‑700, MS‑102, or SC‑300

  • Experience supporting regulated or compliance‑driven environments and supporting global or highly governed environment

  • Exposure to Power Platform or Teams app integrations

Note - The role requires working in UK business hours. Rotational shifts may

be required based on business needs.

Compensation


The salary range provided in this job posting is intended to reflect the general market value for the position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific requirements of the role. This range may also be subject to change as market conditions evolve. We encourage open communication throughout the interview process to discuss compensation expectations. For base-salary + commission sales roles, the range represents On-Target Earnings.

Min – Max :

₹1,163,169.70 - ₹2,160,172.30 (INR)
