About the Role

This role is responsible is responsible for leading end-to-end outbound logistics strategy, execution, and continuous improvement across transportation, warehousing and distribution operations. This role owns cost, service and network performance while driving scalable infrastructure to support business growth. The role will carry full accountability for logistics P&L performance, network optimization and capability development.

Accountabilities

This leader partners cross functionally with regional and global supply chain, finance, commercial, procurement and external vendors (warehouse & transportation carriers that includes OTR, parcel, Air & Ocean). The Senior Manager, Logistics is responsible for continually improving service while looking for ways to reduce costs through process improvement, network optimization and standardization across Dyson’s Americas logistics operations. In addition, this role will help build the roadmap for innovation in delivery experience and establish key partnerships to ensure Dyson remains an industry leader.

Essential Job Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:

Logistics Strategy & Network Optimization

  • Develop and execute multi-year logistics strategy aligned to business growth plans.

  • Lead network design initiatives including DC footprint, mode optimization, carrier strategy, and inventory flow improvements.

  • Identify and deliver structural cost savings while improving service performance.

  • Evaluate automation, digital tools, and process enhancements to future-proof logistics operations.

Financial Ownership & Cost Management

  • Own logistics budget (transportation, warehousing, accessorials, systems).

  • Deliver annual cost savings targets.

  • Build and manage logistics forecasts, accruals, and monthly performance reporting.

  • Lead carrier and 3PL contract negotiations in partnership with Procurement.

Transportation & Distribution Execution

  • Oversee outbound transportation operations across all modes (parcel, LTL, FTL, intermodal)

  • Establish carrier scorecards and performance management routines.

  • Ensure OTIF (On Time In Full) service levels meet or exceed target.

  • Mitigate risk through contingency planning and capacity management.

3PL & Warehouse Operations Leadership

  • Lead 3PL partnerships with clear KPIs, SLAs, and governance structure.

  • Ensure DC operations support peak demand and future volume growth.

  • Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with strategic partners.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Demand Planning, Customer Service, Sales, and Finance to align service and cost trade-offs.

  • Lead and support the Global team supply chain initiatives.

  • Influence executive stakeholders with data-driven recommendations.

Continuous Improvement & Capability Building

  • Lead Lean/Six Sigma or CI initiatives to remove waste and improve flow.

  • Implement dashboards and analytics to improve visibility and decision-making.

  • Develop and mentor high-performing logistics team members.

  • Build succession pipeline and strengthen organizational capability

About You

  • 7+ years’ experience in the logistics field.

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related field.

  • Strong computer skills, including MS excel and SAP.

  • Deep knowledge of supply chain.

  • Prior management experience.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Independent and able to solve problems.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Adaptable/flexible, organized, and able to multi-task

  • Team Player

Compensation : $125,600 - $157,000 annually + bonus opportunity
