JN Bank is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented professional to join our team as
Senior Loan Services Officer

.


The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support within the Loan Services Unit, ensuring the efficient management of loan servicing activities, insurance-related matters, mortgage administration processes, and stakeholder engagement. This role plays a critical part in maintaining service excellence, operational efficiency, and compliance with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities


Loan Services Administration


  • Manage assigned loan servicing activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.

  • Review and process documentation relating to loan servicing functions.

  • Ensure timely and accurate handling of customer requests and enquiries.

  • Maintain accurate records and support operational reporting requirements.


Insurance & Mortgage Administration


  • Handle life insurance-related matters associated with loan accounts.

  • Vet Statements to Close and ensure timely processing.

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding mortgage-related matters.

  • Support activities relating to Reading Heights and Jamaica Money Market Brokers Mortgage Scheme loans.


Customer Service & Stakeholder Management


  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.

  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries and resolve issues efficiently.

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Ensure customers are kept informed throughout the servicing process.


Operational Excellence


  • Monitor and manage operational processes to ensure service standards are achieved.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Loan Services Unit.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and established service standards.

  • Prepare reports and maintain documentation as required.


Required Qualifications & Experience


  • Degree in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, or a related discipline

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

About The Jamaica National Group

On February 1, 2017, The Jamaica National Group, a powerful, Jamaican mutually-owned global business, became a reality and the country’s third largest commercial bank, JN Bank, was launched.

Following the re-submission of the Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) application for a commercial banking license in November 2013 to the Bank of Jamaica (BOJ), the application was approved by the BOJ in February 2015. The country’s third largest financial institution at the time, the Society commenced the process to convert the building society into a commercial bank and to restructure the JN Group.

The JN Group has been restructured to ensure compliance with the new Banking Services Act. The reorganisation of the JN Group involved the establishment of the JN Financial Group, a financial holding company, which will own the new JN Bank and all other companies in the JN Group that offer financial services.

• Jamaica Automobile Association (JAA)

• JN Properties Limited

• Management Control Systems (MC Systems)

The Creative Unit (TCU)

Total Credit Services Limited (TCS)

Both the JN Financial Group and the MCS Group and the entities under their control will be under the direct control of The Jamaica National Group. All members’ rights under mutuality will be transferred to The Jamaica National Group and JN Bank account holders will automatically become a member of The Jamaica National Group.
