
The Senior Loan Consultant is a seasoned financial professional responsible for originating, managing and coordinating the closing of consumer residential loans in compliance with the Bank’s lending policies, procedures, and agency and investor guidelines. The Senior Loan Consultant acts as an advisor, analyzing applicant creditworthiness, educating clients on loan products, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Key responsibilities include contacting branch referrals, generating leads, educating branch staff, networking with local real estate professionals, and guiding clients through the loan process.
Essential Duties - Salary-plus-commission structure.
Complies with all State and Federal Banking regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: BSA, Anti-Money Laundering OFAC, CIP, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, Sexual Harassment, Information Security, and privacy requirements. This position will elevate suspicious activity to supervisory staff and/or BSA department. Completes compliance and other technical training workshops as assigned.

MLO Requirement
The requirements of this position have been identified to include actions or activities that meet the definition of mortgage loan originator (MLO) under the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (S.A.F.E Act). Maintaining an active loan originator ID issued through the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) Registry is a mandatory requirement of this position.
Minimum Absence Requirement
As a part of the Bank’s internal control systems, employees holding sensitive positions are required to be absent from their duties for a minimum of two consecutive weeks each year. This position has been deemed to meet the test for a sensitive position, and therefore you will be required to meet the minimum absence requirement annually.
