Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Linux Engineer to support and develop secure, stable, and efficient Linux environments for an international client operating within access and security solutions.

In this role, you will take responsibility for the design, administration, optimisation, and security of Linux infrastructure. You will work closely with system engineers, cybersecurity specialists, and other technical stakeholders to ensure that the Linux platforms support both business operations and research and development environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimise Linux environments, including user endpoints, servers, Docker infrastructure, configuration management, patching, firewalls, and VPN solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
• Support risk assessments, security audits, and remediation activities.
• Monitor system availability, connectivity, performance, and capacity.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, network, remote-management, and access-related issues.
• Develop and maintain logging and log-aggregation strategies.
• Integrate Linux environments with Microsoft enterprise solutions, including Entra ID, Intune, SSO, and PKI infrastructure.
• Design secure and reliable connectivity solutions for corporate resources and R&D tools using the Cloudflare toolset.
• Support and troubleshoot CI/CD and development environments.
• Collaborate with system engineering, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Communicate with stakeholders and translate business requirements into secure technical solutions.
