Position Overview

We are seeking a high-caliber and detail-oriented
Senior Legal Executive
to join our legal team. In this role, you will play a key part in safeguarding the Group’s commercial interests, managing legal risk, and ensuring corporate compliance across our business operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to manage complex corporate assignments, advise internal stakeholders, and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Contract Management:
  Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, contracts, and legal documents to protect the Group’s business interests.

• 
  Advisory & Research:
  Conduct in-depth legal research and provide sound, preliminary legal opinions on regulatory, operational, and commercial matters.

• 
  External Counsel Liaison:
  Act as a key point of contact for the Legal Department in coordinating with external legal counsel regarding litigation, disputes, and complex compliance portfolios.

• 
  Corporate Secretarial Oversight:
  Partner closely with the Group’s Company Secretary to coordinate board meetings, prepare resolutions, and ensure the accurate, timely lodgement of statutory returns and regulatory forms.

• 
  Risk Management:
  Proactively identify potential legal exposure and compliance risks, and propose practical risk-mitigation strategies to senior management.

• 
  Regulatory Monitoring:
  Track and analyze updates in relevant laws, policies, and regulatory frameworks affecting the Group’s industries, providing timely impact briefs to the business.

• 
  Legal Administration:
  Oversee the management, structure, and confidentiality of all legal documentation, agreements, and corporate correspondences.

• 
  Special Projects:
  Execute strategic legal initiatives and ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Legal Manager to support the department's objectives.

Requirements

• 
  Possess a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from a recognized university.

• 
  Minimum of 3 to 5 years of Post-Qualified Experience (PQE), preferably with a blend of reputable law firm training and in-house corporate exposure.

• 
  Solid baseline understanding of the
  Housing Development (Control & Licensing) Act (HDA)
  ,
  Companies Act 2016
  , and prevailing real estate and property development regulations in Malaysia.

• 
  Excellent command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• 
  Strong analytical capabilities, impeccable attention to detail, and the maturity to communicate confidently and effectively with senior stakeholders and external partners.
