The purpose of this role is to help deliver, manage and support legal work within dentsu.
Key responsibilities
Provide strategic legal advice to dentsu China's brands, service lines and centralised functions.
Draft and negotiate commercial contracts with advertising clients and vendors.
Provide data privacy advice in relation to existing and new products and services and interactions with regulators.
Prepare and deliver training on data privacy and other Legal & Compliance topics to both non-legally qualified and legally-qualified colleagues.
Implement best practice in compliance, contracts management, intellectual property and data privacy.
Provide legal advice in other areas as required, including litigation and dispute resolution, companies law and corporate governance.
Person specification
PRC-qualified lawyer.
A minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification experience.
In-depth experience and knowledge of key legal principles relating to data privacy, contracts, intellectual property rights, company law and litigation.
Experience in drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial agreements.
Knowledge of corporate governance.
Experience of dealing directly with executive-level stakeholders and a demonstrated ability to build relationships.
Ability to manage competing priorities within a diverse workload.
Collaborative attitude essential to working in a small, well-coordinated team.
Advertising, media or technology industry experience would be a plus, but is not a pre-requisite.
Candidates with either law firm or in-house experience are equally welcome.
