Purpose & Objective
SAP seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to support its Canadian business, with a particular focus on Quebec and other French-language matters. The successful candidate will provide practical, business-oriented legal advice across a broad range of commercial, regulatory, contracting, procurement, technology, privacy, language, and policy-related matters.
This role is well suited for a lawyer with experience in the software, cloud, technology, consulting, telecommunications, or enterprise solutions sector who is comfortable working closely with sales, services, compliance, finance, data protection, security, and other internal stakeholders. The role requires excellent legal judgement, strong drafting and negotiation skills, the ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously, and the confidence to advise business leaders in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
Strong French-language capability is essential. The successful candidate must be able to draft, review, negotiate, and advise in French on complex legal and business matters, particularly where Quebec law, customers, procurement requirements, language requirements, or public policy considerations are involved. English proficiency is also required to collaborate effectively with SAP’s Canadian, North American, and global teams.

La personne idéale dans ce rôle serait un juriste possédant de l’expérience dans les secteurs des logiciels, du nuage, de la technologie, du conseil, des télécommunications ou des solutions d’entreprise, qui n’a pas peur de collaborer étroitement avec les équipes des ventes, des services, de la conformité, de la finance, de la protection des données et de la sécurité ainsi qu’avec d’autres parties prenantes internes. Le poste exige un excellent discernement digne d’un juriste, de solides compétences en rédaction et en négociation, la capacité à gérer simultanément plusieurs affaires complexes, ainsi que l’assurance nécessaire pour conseiller les dirigeants dans un environnement multinational dynamique.
La maîtrise du français est essentielle. Le candidat retenu devra être capable de rédiger du contenu, d’examiner, de négocier et de conseiller en français sur des affaires juridiques et commerciales complexes, notamment lorsque le droit québécois, des clients, des obligations en matière d’approvisionnement, des exigences linguistiques ou des considérations relatives aux politiques publiques sont en jeu. La maîtrise de l’anglais est également requise pour collaborer efficacement avec les équipes canadiennes, nord-américaines et internationales de SAP.
