Job Description

Job Purpose:

Provide high-quality legal advice and support on legal risks, compliance, and corporate governance to enable the organization and its joint ventures to operate lawfully, effectively, and ethically.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research, monitor regulatory changes, and ensure compliance across operations.

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and corporate policies to align with legal and business objectives.

• Manage litigation processes, coordinate with external legal advisors, and oversee dispute resolution.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental strategies aligned with organizational goals.

• Lead and develop the legal team to achieve performance objectives and ensure talent readiness.

• Oversee departmental budgeting, cost control, and financial performance monitoring.

• Implement policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure efficiency and compliance.

• Drive change management and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Prepare accurate and timely legal reports for management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Law or related field (MBA preferred).

• Experience: 12 years in legal roles, with at least 5 years in senior management.

• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with power, energy, and water sectors is advantageous.

Skills:

• Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.

• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Proficiency in English (Arabic is an advantage).

• Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with multicultural teams.

• Solid understanding of GCC business culture and environment.
