Senior Legal Assistant Commercial Property & Agriculture
Location: Stamford, Lincolnshire
Salary: £24,650 per annum
Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday, 9.00am-5.15pm

An established law firm is seeking a Senior Legal Assistant to join its Commercial Property & Agriculture team in Stamford. This role offers variety, client contact, and the opportunity to support work across multiple legal departments.

The Role

The Senior Legal Assistant will work closely with other legal assistants, providing cover and support when required. You will liaise with clients, manage incoming enquiries, and ensure that documents are produced accurately and on time, supported by a dedicated document production team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Typing and word processing legal documents to deadlines
• Supporting the Commercial Property department while assisting other departments when needed
• Maintaining high levels of confidentiality and accuracy
• Transcribing documents from audio or manual notes
• Handling telephone calls on behalf of fee earners and taking clear messages
• Arranging appointments and managing diaries
• Prioritising workloads to meet deadlines
• Maintaining accurate records in the firms case management system

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• A secretarial qualification, equivalent experience, or a law degree
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
• The ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
• Typing speeds of at least 50 words per minute

Experience in Commercial Property work or other legal practice areas is desirable but not essential.
