About the Role:
We’re looking for a Senior Legal Analyst who brings strong corporate legal department and transactional experience and a project oriented mindset to assist in supporting significant legal projects, corporate governance, and other business transactions. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Deputy General Counsel and others in providing high level legal support and project management across complex cross functional initiatives.
You’ll partner closely with the Compliance, Actuarial, Product Development, Finance, and outside counsel as well in order to support well governed decision making, ensure regulatory alignment, and manage efficient legal and governance projects and processes. You will gain visibility and thrive in a fast paced environment, managing multiple workstreams and stakeholders with precision.
What You’ll Do:
Insurance Product and Regulatory Support
• Assist Deputy General Counsel in providing legal support for life and annuity product development and launch initiatives, including policy form review, requirements tracking, distribution agreements and relationships, and commercial contract review.
• Support attorneys in addressing legal aspects of both new product and in-force product initiatives, including documenting and tracking documentary support and workstreams.
• Support attorneys with respect to litigations involving life insurance and annuity products.
• Help ensure legal review, analysis and decision-making is properly documented, approved, and implemented in accordance with policy language, internal governance frameworks, and applicable insurance regulations.
• Support preparation of regulatory filings, disclosures, internal memoranda, and governance materials.
Corporate & Transactional Support
• Work closely with attorneys and business unit partners in supporting and tracking a variety of corporate initiatives and transactions, including marshalling and analyzing supporting data and requirements ; assisting with due diligence, tracking workstreams, etc.
• Support legal team on corporate integrations within the enterprise.
Legal Project Management
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to ensure project milestones are met.
• Develop and maintain project trackers, timelines, and documentation for complex initiatives involving product, regulatory, or legal process changes.
Corporate Governance & Entity Management
• Assist the Corporate Secretary and Assistant Corporate Secretary with corporate governance needs, including maintenance of corporate records, corporate resolutions, corporate filings, regulatory filings and fulfillment of governance requirements.
• Support subsidiary governance, including formation, dissolution, qualification, and ongoing compliance.
• Assist with harmonizing legal and governance processes across acquired or integrated entities.
• Assist with board and committee processes, including preparation of materials, resolutions, and corporate actions.
Core Competencies

• Regulatory Awareness: Comfort working in highly regulated environments, preferably insurance or financial services.
• Cross Functional Collaboration: Ability to partner effectively with other business units outside of legal & compliance.
• Judgment & Discretion: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism.
• Process Improvement Orientation: Proactive in identifying process efficiencies.
What You Bring:
• 7+ years of paralegal or similar experience, with significant exposure to corporate and transactional work.
• Experience in the life insurance, annuity, or broader financial services industry strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience supporting corporate legal departments, whether in-house or at a law firm, including support of complex transactions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence multiple internal and multi-level stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency with entity management systems, document management tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience working with outside counsel and regulatory bodies a plus.
