Embedded within the Models team, you will collaborate closely with AI scientists, engineers, and legal researchers to bridge legal expertise and model development.
Translate legal domain knowledge into actionable model requirements
Identify inefficiencies and pain points across legal processes, assessing opportunities for automation and AI-driven improvement
Contribute to evaluation design, defining quality benchmarks for legal AI and building the frameworks to measure them
Design and test internal tooling to accelerate model development workflows
Mentor junior legal ai researchers on legal concepts and best practices
5+ years of legal practice with a focus on contract review and negotiation, including strong familiarity with the full contract lifecycle and its stakeholders
Exceptional communication skills across diverse audiences, with the ability to distil complex legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders
Demonstrated interest in and understanding of AI technologies
Ability to thrive in ambiguity
In-house experience at an enterprise organisation (preferred)
Experience managing legal spend and billing (preferred)
Experience collaborating with software engineers or technical teams (preferred)
