  • Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointments on a tenurable basis.
  • Base salary range: Level C, $149,909 – $172,441 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

The School of Health and Clinical Sciences at The University of Western Australia (UWA) delivers innovative education and research across a range of health disciplines. Within the School, the Department of Pharmacy delivers postgraduate pharmacy programs including the Doctor of Pharmacy and Graduate Certificates in advanced pharmacy practice.

We are recruiting two Senior Lecturer (Teaching Focused) positions to provide academic leadership across our pharmacy programs.

These roles will contribute to teaching excellence, curriculum development, educational quality and student success across the Doctor of Pharmacy and postgraduate pharmacy programs. There will also be a focus on cross department teaching and learning priorities including accreditation and educational quality While providing leadership that supports student success and continuous improvement

About the opportunities

  • Lead teaching, curriculum innovation and educational excellence within UWA's Doctor of Pharmacy and postgraduate pharmacy programs
  • Contribute to strategic teaching and learning priorities across the Department, supporting curriculum development, experiential learning, assessment and feedback, accreditation, educational quality and student success initiatives.
  • Provide academic leadership in the design, review and continuous improvement of pharmacy education, ensuring alignment with professional standards and contemporary practice.
  • Mentor academic colleagues, champion contemporary and inclusive teaching practices, and contribute to strategic teaching and learning initiatives across the Department, School and University

About you

  • PhD in a relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of professional pharmacy qualifications and academic experience, with current registration as a pharmacist with Ahpra.
  • Demonstrated success in curriculum design, teaching innovation and delivery of high-quality student learning outcomes within higher education.
  • Experience in one or more areas of contemporary pharmacy education, such as Work Integrated Learning, placement-based or experiential learning programs and external stakeholder partnerships, or assessment design, moderation, quality assurance, accreditation and continuous improvement activities.
  • Strong track record of educational leadership, scholarship of teaching and learning, and mentoring academic colleagues.
  • Commitment to inclusive and culturally safe education, including the integration of Indigenous health perspectives and contemporary pharmacy practice into teaching and learning.
