Base salary will be in the range $145,961.51 - $168,043.68 + 17% super (Academic Level C)

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and inquisitive Senior Lecturer to shape the next generation of engineers while building a globally relevant research profile in biomedical engineering.
Working at the intersection of engineering innovation and human health, you will contribute to meaningful change by advancing teaching excellence and research impact in a highly supportive and inclusive environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
Deliver high-quality teaching and lead innovative curriculum design across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, ensuring engaging and contemporary learning experiences.
Establish and grow a high-impact research program aligned with the School’s strengths in imaging, sensing and biomedical engineering, supported by collaborative partnerships and a start-up package.
Supervise and mentor Higher Degree by Research students, fostering researcher development and leading successful completions.
Contribute to academic leadership, service and engagement activities that strengthen partnerships with industry, government and the broader community.

You will bring a strong academic foundation and a commitment to excellence across teaching, research and service, along with:
A PhD in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering or a closely related field.
A demonstrated record of high-quality research outputs in biomedical or electrical engineering.
Demonstrated capability or potential to attract competitive research funding.
Evidence of effective teaching contributions at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Experience or capability in course coordination and contemporary curriculum development.
A growing record of supervision of Honours and Higher Degree by Research students.
Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with proven ability to successfully lead a research team.
A commitment to inclusive, ethical and values‑driven academic practice.
