What You’ll Be Doing: Reporting to the Manager, Learning & Development, the Senior Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for leading the design, implementation and delivery of high-quality learning programs across the organization. This role will partner with internal Subject Matter Experts to assess training needs, evaluate program effectiveness and implement initiatives that foster engagement, elevate capabilities and support growth and development.

Program Development

  • Design, implement and evaluate learning and development programs for the organization.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, presentations and resources to support learning objectives and outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate training delivery and effectiveness, working with Instructional Designers to make adjustments and improve outcomes.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand and manage program objectives and content.
  • Translate business objectives into measurable learning outcomes and development roadmaps.
  • Lead the creation of instruction content including facilitator-led training, job aids, videos, eLearning, etc.
  • Ensure content accuracy, scalability, and alignment with organizational values.
  • Facilitate training sessions and development programs for team members at all levels.
  • Translate complex concepts into clear, simple learning materials.
  • Support and mentor leaders, facilitators and subject matter experts on facilitation skills.
  • Contribute to the long-term learning and development strategy of the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements where applicable.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Partner with HR Business Partners and leaders to identify skill gaps and recommend targeted learning solutions.
  • Use insights and data to continuously refine learning solutions and improve learner experience.
  • Identify, track and report on key metrics to determine the overall effectiveness of learning programs and initiatives in support of the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Conduct training needs analyses to identify skill gaps and learning priorities.
  • Manage and evaluate learning programs using data, metrics and feedback to measure impact and return on investment.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using data, feedback and performance indicators

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Instructional Design or a related field.
  • Certificate in Adult Learning or other Training Designation (ex: CPTD, CPLP) is desirable
  • 5+ years’ experience in instructional design, organizational development and/or leadership development facilitation.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies (ADDIE/SAM).
  • Knowledge of instructional design software and multimedia tools for content creation considered an asset.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to interpret training data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience managing multiple projects at the same time and setting priorities for program success.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in multimedia content development.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with training evaluation models.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
