Job Description

The Senior Consultant, Leadership Development is responsible for facilitating a portfolio of leadership development initiatives and solutions for leaders across the enterprise. This role will focus primarily on the growth and development of frontline leaders and may support other learning and development as needed. This role is responsible for facilitation, development, evaluation, administration, and continuous improvement of leadership development programs and other customized solutions that align with our mission and meet the needs of the business.

The role offers the opportunity to manage development initiatives at scale across the enterprise and requires close collaboration with leadership and human resources partners. The ideal candidate will be passionate and experienced in facilitation, learning design and evaluation, and adult development. The Senior Consultant will report to the Senior Manager, Leadership Development. Candidates within commuting distance of Penske’s corporate offices in Reading, PA, 75 miles northwest of Philadelphia, are highly preferred. All candidates must be able to establish and maintain a presence at the corporate campus to advance initiatives with leaders and maintain positive relationships with team members.

Major Responsibilities

In partnership with the Senior Manager, Leadership Development and appropriate stakeholders:

- Design, develop, facilitate, and evaluate asynchronous, virtual, and in-person leadership development programs and initiatives that link business strategies to individual and organization performance.

- Use master facilitation skills and techniques to meet participants where they are and provide a holistic development experience that leads them toward their growing edge.

- Execute critical program management responsibilities, including logistical and administrative tasks.

- Develop relationships and collaborates with key business partners and subject matter experts across the enterprise

- Conduct needs assessments, applying professional instructional design and organization development frameworks

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in related area of study (i.e., OD, HR, I/O Psychology) or equivalent experience required. Master’s Degree preferred.

- 3+ years of leadership development program facilitation (virtual and in-person) experience required

- 3+ years of instructional design (virtual and in-person) experience required

- Technical skills and systems knowledge of relevant learning tools (Zoom, Excel, Teams, Adobe Suite, Articulate 360, Oracle LMS, etc.)

-Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite of products and learning technologies.

- Excellent communication and project and program management skills required

- Previous leadership experience preferred

- Professional certifications and qualifications within Leadership Development preferred

- Strong professional presence and interpersonal skills; quickly garners credibility with leaders as well as associates at all levels of the organization

- Self-directed, problem-solver who works well in ambiguous and complex organization processes and systems

- Sincere hunger and curiosity for continuous learning and development

- Deep personal humility and strong professional will

- Candidate must consistently demonstrate successful performance against Penske’s leadership behaviors at the level of leadership for which they seek candidacy

-Safeguards integrity and confidentiality of organizational and associate data and information to the highest standards

-Respects and ensures intellectual property rights and privileges are consistently safeguarded

- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
