Are you a passionate, dedicated and motivated continuous improvement leader looking for a new challenge? The Senior Lean Sigma Program Manager will play a critical role in transforming performance across the Tempe Campus by advancing the Medtronic Performance System (MPS). Through coaching, training, and strategic partnership with leaders and teams, this individual will drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
The role will lead initiatives focused on Zero Loss, Strategy, Innovation, Value Stream, Maintenance, and Improvement Excellence, utilizing Lean Six Sigma and A3/DMAIC methodologies to accelerate results, optimize operations, and fuel future growth.
L ocated at Medtronic's Tempe, AZ manufacturing site, this role is onsite 5 days per week. In this role periodic travel is expected to suppliers or Medtronic facilities. Travel is less than 25%.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deploy the “1 Best Way” in alignment with the Medtronic Performance System (MPS).
Own the programmatic savings program that delivers labor, burden and material usage variance including a 2x pipeline for concept projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional focus factory leaders to develop and deploy lean transformation strategies.
Develop and deploy a multi-year strategy for MPS to achieve best-in-class safety, quality, service, and cost performance results.
Establish operating mechanisms to track progress to plan for critical site level initiatives as well as for programmatic savings.
Train and coach Yellow Belts and Green Belts.
Define, design, and implement continuous improvement programs to ensure programs are integrated vertically and horizontally across the organization.
Required Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
Requires a Lean Sigma Black Belt or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Requires PMP (PMI) certification and Master Black Belt certification or comparable training and experience, strongly preferred.
Proven success leading and coaching Lean transformations, continuous improvement programs, and organizational change initiatives within manufacturing environments.
Expertise in deploying process improvement strategies aligned with business objectives, utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies, value stream analysis, and operational excellence frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and provide candid feedback to stakeholders at all levels while driving engagement and accountability.
Strong operational and cross-functional business acumen, with the ability to identify improvement opportunities in the Gemba and optimize interconnected processes.
Track record of delivering measurable business results through continuous improvement, maintenance excellence, and capability-building programs.
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$142,400.00 - $213,600.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
