About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Engineer to spearhead the design and development of Agentic AI-driven solutions integrated with Spring Boot microservices within the Enterprise Product and Pricing (EPPM) product domain. This role requires a strong technical leader who can architect scalable systems, mentor engineers, and drive innovation in AI orchestration and enterprise-grade microservices. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing microservices and working with modern technologies such as MongoDB, Kafka, and container-based platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead and deliver complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain of environments

  • Translate technology experience into technical engineering solutions

  • Contribute to large-scale planning and strategy development for technology solutions

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs, including upgrades and deployments

  • Review and address complex technical challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of process and procedures

  • Resolve technical issues and lead team(s) to meet client needs, leveraging a solid understanding of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve project goals

  • Act as an escalation point, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff

  • Lead projects and ensure successful delivery of technical solutions


Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 5+ years developing microservices and working with MongoDB and Kafka

  • 3+ years hands-on experience with container-based technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

  • 3+ years of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies


Desired Qualifications:

  • 7+ years API Microservices development and delivery experience on internal or external cloud platforms

  • 7+ years of engineering experience in leading/coding/managing Core Banking applications

  • 5+ years designing and developing GenAI-powered applications using LLMs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, etc.)

  • 5+ years of Test Automation development experience

  • Strong familiarity with AI governance, model risk management, compliance constraints, and responsible AI practices

  • Ability to troubleshoot analyze performance bottlenecks

  • Experience with one or more Observability/Monitoring tools: Elastic, Kibana, Grafana, AppDynamics, New Relic, DataDog, Splunk, TrueSight

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a fast-paced team environment (including onshore and offshore)

  • Experience designing large language models (LLM) prompt engineering, prompt chaining, and evaluation frameworks

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$159,000.00 - $254,000.00
